The Manager Dashboard

Your dashboard shows everything that needs attention right now. The Quick Actions section shows live badges:

  • Pending Swaps — number of shift swap requests awaiting your approval
  • Time Approvals — employee time logs flagged for review
  • Incidents — open incident reports that need your attention

Roles & Permissions

ShiftFlex supports three levels of access within an organization:

Managers can create and publish shifts, assign employees directly or post to the feed, approve shift swaps, manage the team roster with skill and certification tracking, run payroll for pay periods, view analytics, and send announcements to the team.

How do managers control who can claim a shift?

Managers set required skills and certifications when creating a shift. Only employees who hold valid certifications for those roles see the shift in their feed and can claim it. This is enforced automatically — no manual vetting required.

Can managers manage multiple locations in ShiftFlex?

Yes, on the Cluster Pro plan. Managers can oversee all locations in a franchise cluster from a single dashboard, create shifts at any location, and enable cross-location shift swapping and the surge pricing marketplace.
