1.1 Location Data

To enable the geofenced time clock and automatic shift check-in/check-out reminders, the ShiftFlex mobile app collects precise and approximate location data, including in the background when the app is closed or not in use. Specifically, this location data is used for:

• Geofenced Boundaries: Verifying that you are physically present at your assigned work location when clocking in or out.
• Automatic Shift Tracking: Reminding you to clock in when you arrive at a shift location and reminding you to clock out when you leave.
• Background Monitoring: Monitoring geofence entry and exit events even when the app is closed or not actively running on your screen, provided you are currently scheduled for a shift at that location.

Sharing and Usage: Your location data is transmitted securely to our servers to verify shift attendance for your employer/organization. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell or share your location data with any third-party marketing services.

1.2 Device Permissions

To provide certain features, the app may request access to your device's camera. This access is only used for:

• Profile Photos: Allowing you to take a photo to set as your profile picture.
• Shift Documentation: Allowing you to capture images required for shift check-ins or verifying work completions.

You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process shift assignments, swaps, and scheduling
• Send you notifications about your shifts and team updates
• Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities

• With Your Organization: Your employer/organization administrators can view your shift-related data.
• With Team Members: Basic profile information may be visible to other members of your team.
• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who assist in providing our services.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
